Two major cities in New Mexico are holding RCV elections right now! Santa Fe and Las Cruces municipal elections are using ranked choice voting for races with three or more candidates. For 2021, that includes the Santa Fe mayoral election and one city council district. In Las Cruces, three city council races will be conducted using RCV.

Early in-person voting at the county clerk offices and absentee voting is already underway. Expanded early voting sites open Saturday, October 16 and runs through Saturday the 30th. Election Day is Tuesday, November 2. You can find more details and important dates about each of these RCV elections at the county clerks’ websites.
